Project on Visualization of CEFTA Statistics

Purpose
The purpose of this project are as follows:

•  IT based processing of trade and investment data by the CEFTA Secretariat to be collected from CEFTA Parties
• Creation of the web based reporting system and dissemination platform of data on trade in goods, trade in services and investment flows.
• Presentation of trade and investment data, and regional indices in readable and user friendly manner to be utilised by the main CEFTA stakeholders, academia, business and wider audience.
• Prepare interfaces of CEFTA trade statistics for the future CEFTA MIS to which some of CEFTA Trade Statistics would be extracted for the purpose of Databases in CEFTA Transparency Pack.

Overall objective

The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is as follows:

To enhance the transparency of trade and investment trends and flows amongst CEFTA Parties and CEFTA Parties with their major partners by increasing accessibility of the relevant data through information technology tools.

Purpose

The purpose of this contract are as follows:

• IT based processing of trade and investment data by the CEFTA Secretariat to be collected from CEFTA Parties
• Creation of the web based reporting system and dissemination platform of data on trade in goods, trade in services and investment flows.
• Presentation of trade and investment data, and regional indices in readable and user friendly manner to be utilised by the main CEFTA stakeholders, academia, business and wider audience.
• Prepare interfaces of CEFTA trade statistics for the future CEFTA MIS to which some of CEFTA Trade Statistics would be extracted for the purpose of Databases in CEFTA Transparency Pack.

The results that were expected to be achieved includes creation of an interactive web application with following modules:

• Database of statistical data related to Trade in Goods
• Database of statistical data related to Trade in Services and FDI investment
• Platform for presentation of data with the:

• Interactive charts including, but not limited to line, spline, area, column, bar, pie scatter, etc.
• Schematic interactive maps in web application linked to geography
• Any several other types of the output documents that will present the indices in a user friendly format for analytical purposes (PDF, Excel, Word)

• Web based technical solution for reporting and disseminating statistical data on trade in goods, services and investment;
• Graphical and tabular analysis of indicators as: trade volumes (global and CEFTA centric), trade shares by Parties, by HS chapter/sector, etc.;
•  Customizable dashboard with possibility for a user to select attributes of graphs from offered set of attributes and select way of presentation among offered presentations.
